f(x), "We are excited to promote together with WonderGirls who are our close friends"

Girlgroup f(x) talks about promoting in the same time period as ‘seonbaenim’ WonderGirls.

f(x) is back earlier this month with their 1st minialbum ‘NU ABO’ is currently up #1 on various album and music sites. And WonderGirls will also be back with a new album ’2 Different Tears (2DT)’ after one and a half years.

Recently in an interview with Newsen, f(x) talks about promoting in the same time period as the WonderGirls, “They are seonbaes whom we really like. Personally they are also our close friends, so we feel excited promoting together.”

Especially for member Luna who comes from the same high school as WonderGirls new member HyeRim (LiRa Art High School). Recently, their high school even posted up photos of them as ‘proud faces of the school‘.

Luna said, “I was originally really close to HyeRim.” Already the 2 are known to be close friends even before their debut, even though WonderGirls are considered seonbae to f(x) in terms of promoting, Luna can be said to be more of a seonbae than HyeRim.

Sulli also revealed that she has known HyeRim before their singer debut, “I first met HyeRim unnie at church and we became close friends. After that she got more close to Luna after they went to the same school. After she joined WonderGirls, the 3 of us will be able to meet and play.”

f(x) added, “We will promote and show our charms unique to ourselves, different from the WonderGirls.”

Meanwhile, the 2 groups will meet again on the 22nd for Dream Concert where they are both performing artistes.

SNSD to appear on Family Outing 2

First we had Heechul. Then the Wonder Girls. And now SNSD? Family Outing 2 is certainly going all out!

A Family Outing staff revealed on the 10th that SNSD will be appearing on the May 16th episode of Family Outing 2 where they will join forces with the existing cast to put on a performance for the military. He added that the atmosphere was really burning when the SNSD girls appeared.

Looks like Family Outing is going all-out as Heechul will record his first episode as the permanent 8th member on the 17th, with special guests, the Wonder Girls!

Who is Next for JYP Entertainment?

JYP Entertainment is on the hunt again! Even though they’ve already got their hands full with preparations for the Wonder Girls’ debut American album and promotions for 2PM’s Don’t Stop Can’t Stop, the entertainment company is still looking out for possible new idols. They recently updated their website with a dark-themed background displaying a silhouette of a dancer to attract possible trainees, with the following words written in large, bold type: “Who is Next?”

Many netizens, instead of hoping to become Korea’s next star, have begun to discuss the identity of the dancer. Due to his hairstyle and pose, fans have hypothesized that the silhouette belongs to ex-2PM member, Jay Park. In fact, these people are more than confident that the outline is in fact, of Jay; several visitors have commented on the advertisement, saying things such as “Yah! That’s Jay!” “Daebak, they used Jay again?”

This announcement has begun to attract negative attention, as netizens, still enraged over JYPE’s alleged mistreatment of one of Korea’s most popular singer, claimed that the company has no right to use such a photo. Visitors have made comments such as:

“‘Who is next’ to get the Jay treatment?”
“JYPE cannot live without Jay.”
“This seems more like a threat than an invitation.”
“All the Jay pictures in the world [are] not going to get people to audition.”
“Who is next to be jype’s new money maker and have their reputation destroyed?”
“The next one up is Sunmi.”

Others, however, seem to see this as merely a way for JYPE to garner more attention. Some have labeled this picture as a “total media play to grab more attention,” and have disregarded it in an attempt to rebel against what they believe are JYPE’s wishes. Regardless of such comments, the advertisement certainly is grabbing netizens’ attentions!
